Farewell, Senator Kennedy

Earlier this week (on Tuesday to be precise) we, as a nation, suffered a loss when Senator Edward M. Kennedy passed away.

Kennedy had been at war with brain cancer for the past year.

A democrat (obviously) from Massachussetts, Kennedy has been a member of the United States Senate for more than forty years.

Eventhough I have much contempt for him, especially his cowardice (yes, I am referencing the Chappaquiddick Incident) I still have to tip my cap to his work ethic. Eventhough I wish he had shut up years ago and had packed it in and sat back and enjoyed his inherited fortune, I respect that he didn't.

I'm not going to drone on about his greatness or his legacy.... we have MSNBC for that; but I will say this: If the Republican Party could demonstrate the work ethic which Senator Kennedy did his entire life, we would be a lot better off.

The question which has repeatedly crossed my mind since his passing is this: How do Mary Jo Kopechne's parents and relatives feel about Kennedy's legacy. I honestly hope that at some during Kennedy's life, he was able to make peace with his actions and with her parents.

From a young conservative kid, So long Senator.

Homosexuality

Great! Gays want to be married. Wonderful. Not only that, but they also want to be able to adopt children.

What's next? Is Hallmark's Anniversary Card section going to begin having a tab which says "For my Gay Husband or Gay Wife.

And for you idiots who say I am a homophobe, I will say this: I am not afraid of gays as long as they stay the hell away from me.

Anyway, gays (it is ok to call them that, right?) want the right to marry. You have got to be kidding me! Marriage is between a man and a woman. Period. Why, you ask?

Well, for you liberals who don't understand how this works, I will enlighten you.

It actually isn't a stork which delivers the baby. Hard to believe, huh? I know. When I was 2 and I found out, I was devistated , just like many of you air-heads are now! It takes a man and a woman to create and raise a child. A child who is raised by two moms or two dads is more likely to be gay than other kids, so says the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Great......at the rate we are going, man kind will be eliminated in no time. But hey, let's not quibble.

Now let's talk about the usage of the word "gay." In modern times, it is used to describe something foolish or funny, not serious.

I have to give props where props are deserved. A friend of mine (whose name shall remain anonymous at this time) recently created a video post where she corrected herself for "misusing" the word "gay" because, as she said, "there are a lot of homosexual people at this school." I salute this because, unlike me, she cares about upsetting people.

Have no fear though because I will let you know exactly what I think of this.

Humans like to bitch, and homosexuals are no different. As a matter of fact, they are often leading the choir. First, the word was "queer" to describe people who liked their own sex. Then, these "queer" people began to bitch.

"Son of a bitch, we can't be called this! It's too simple and plain and easy to say. I want something more sophisticated," they said

And they got it.

Then they moved to "gay." (Which means "happy") Wow! I mean what is it about the 1980s? Everything made people happy. Drugs made you happy, being queer, I mean, "gay" made you happy, everything made you happy. Anyway, back to the point.

After this went on for quite some time, somebody (who was probably gay him or her self) caught on and said "God-friggen damn it" I've had it with these monosyllabic words. I am going to demand I get a word that makes us seem like real bad asses. I am going to get a word that takes the better part of three seconds to say. That's right. I am going to get the word "homosexual".

And that's what's used now. And abbreviations are a MAJOR fashion fo paux. They made sure that the prefix "homo-" could never be said again without having that moment of ambiguity. That moment of "is he just going to leave it at that and be politically incorrect, or is he going to talk about a compound or something?"

Anyway, the point is.... why are we trying to not offend people. People are going to bitch up a storm over anything. How do you think Al Sharpton has made a living? Don't worry about being offensive and speak your mind. Although I have all the respect in the world for you if you do censor yourself; more often than not, you can count me out! I am not saying to go out there and purposely offend people. That is rude and mean and cold-hearted. Sort of like Saul Allinsky, but let's not et into that.

This is the Young Conservative saying Good Night from here, and nowhere else!

I invite you, Uncle Sam

The United States of America was founded on a capitalistic foundation; and it is a foundation which has held steady for more than two centuries. When The Great Depression struck in the 1920s, it was not President Roosevelt's intervention which pulled us out of it, but rather the occurance of the United States entry in World War II.

As Thomas Paine, a true conservative, stated: "Society is produced by our wants and government by our wickedness."

On this note: I invite the government; I invite Nancy "Stretch" Pelosi,I invite B. Hussein Obama and H. Rotten Clinton and all these other left-wing drones; I invite all of you to stay the hell out of my life. Let me provide for myself; let me abide by the law as I have for the first 18 years of my life and counting; let me live peacefully with free will and freedom of choice.

Let me start a business. If I prosper, allow me to keep the majority of what I make for myself, my family and allow me to choose how I wish to dispose of it.

If I fail in my venture, allow me to go bankrupt and then I will be forced to seek another route.

Allow me to be an American.

Affirmative Action

Oh, how I despise this movement. This, ladies and gentlemen, in addition to the hippies, is what began the process of dumbing down America.

Remember what I said in my first post...... the part about how we conservatives believe that we are only equal at birth and not beyond that? Well, here is a perfect example of how the left opposes this theory. Affirmative Action (a.k.a "Reverse Racism") was a genius plan of taking race and ethnicity, rather than petty qualities such as accomplishment, intelligence and capability, into consideration when applying for a certain position.

Well afterall, We caucasion Americans, who were born more than 100 years after slavery was abolished, should be ashamed of our great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandmother's and grandfather's treatment of the blacks, right? I mean, how could we , I mean they?

Well anyhow, to make up for it, now, more than 160 years later, we are going to atone for our ancestors' mistakes. How, you ask? Here is how:

We, hard-working, studious and over qualified students are going to be screwed out of our righteous position simply because we are the "wrong race" or "wrong ethnicity"?

I for one would like to say this:

If a person who is black, or Asian, or Native American......whatever race, gender, or ethnic background he or she may be from.......... if this person has been proven to be better qualified than myself, then God Bless him or her and I will gladly concede my position. But don't deny me or any other person their position simply because they are the wrong color.

My friends: this was called discrimination when we wrongly did this to the African Americans in the 1960s; now we call it Affirmative Action?

Conservatism, folks! Conservatism!

The Death Penalty

I love Texas's government. They are strict when it comes to law and order. Aside from that, they leave their citizens the hell alone. Weapons are common in Texas and, in some towns, even required. Amazingly, Texas's crime rate is always one of the lowest out of the other 49 states. Why is that, you ask? Well who is going to assault someone who is sporting a Glock? Not me, that's for sure.

If one decides to harm someone or kill someone, the state will return the favor. Texas's death penalty is one of the most prompt in the nation as opposed to California which , politically speaking, is a disgrace to this country (but that is for another time).

In Louisiana, there is a death penalty for not only homicide, but also child molestation. I salute the legislators who proposed this statute. Molestation of a child is heinous; so much so that I believe that rape or any other violent sexual offense should also be punishable by death. And no, I am not talking about statutory rape which I, a devout conservative, can see many flaws with.

Well, as a young conservative, I need my rest, so I bid you, my reader, adieu. Who knows what tomorrow will bring in the world of Conservatism and American Politics.

Sonia Sotomayor

GREAT! The President, in his efforts to replace our "evil" capitalistic society with socialism has come one step closer today when Justice Sotomayor became the newest justice to sit on the Supreme Court's bench.

A professional biggot, Sotomayor now can rule on some of the most controversial cases in the land.

Now, I pose this question to you:

If Chief Justice Roberts and Sotomayor come to a disagreement, is Roberts justified to respond that "I would hope that a wise-caucasian man in the richness of his experience could reach a better conclusion"?

Gee, it didn't sound so bad when SHE said it, did it?

Conservatism is slipping away folks.......... we have to fight. The time is NOW!
